Digger man by Andrea Zimmerman, David Clemesha

We had a good time reading this book. It is written from the point of view of a little boy who loves diggers. He imagines buying a powerful digger and all the things he can do with it. He gives his baby brother a ride and also builds a park for them to play.

Things they learn:

  1. What diggers can do- of course, push mud, scoop rocks and so on.
  2. One thing I really liked in the book was the sibling relationship. How the big brother is thinking about his little brothers, wants to give him  ride on his digger, play with him in the park, He wants to tell him about his digger which promotes a very cute positive relation between the brothers. Will be good to read to someone with younger siblings.

Big pictures, easy sentences.  It was easy enough that my son was able to read it to himself after i read it to him a couple of times!
