Reading Colors: Car paper plate

Simple activity to make paper plate cars with different color wheels.

What you need:

  • Paper plates
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Markers
  • Plain sheet of paper

I cut out circles and drew wheels using the white paper.

I took 2 paper plates so that I didn’t confuse him too much.

Drew one line in the middle and 4 windows and wrote colors on them.

Then Elijah cut the paper plate in half along the line  to make 2 cars.

.

He then read the color on the car, colored the wheels accordingly and stuck them on the car

I wrote 4 colors – red, blue, yellow and green.

After all the cars  were ready we stuck  them on the wall and Elijah even tried to teach his sister !!

It was fun and lots of learning. Gets some cutting and coloring practice too 🙂
